About:China Embassy in Thailand

Documents for a Business Visa

I am a British passport holder working in Thailand. I have a Thai work permit and need to make two business trips to china in the coming weeks for projects that are purchasing Chinese equipment. I have been told that under new Chinese Embassy rules I have to provide details of my personal bank account including the balance even though it is a company sponsored visit. Is this correct or has there been a misunderstanding by the agent presenting my application?
Also why are visas restricted to two entries. Is it not possible to get a six month multi-entry visa as was the case three years ago.

If it is a company sponsored visit, you may just ask your company to provide a sponsorship letter with the letter head of your company. No need to provide your personal bank account. Is the agent reliable or not?

As I know, it's impossible for you to get a multiple entry one in a third country other than your home country.
