You can apply for a L visa, it allows 30 days stay in China.1

thanks for the reply.. for getting L visa, what are the formalities to do and from were i can get the same. (2) If my wife want to stay back for 5 years there along with my daughter, for that what are the formalities to do0

You may just take your apssport, application form, one recent taken photo, two-way air ticket, invitation letter from your daughter in China, copies of her passport and Chinese residence permit to go to the China Visa Application Service Center located at First Floor , Commercial Tower Le Meridien Hotel to apply for the visa.
It's impossible for your wife to stay in China for so long unless she can get a work to work there.0
