About:China Visa on Arrival

Visa on arrival for Conference

I am German citizen and have been invited to be a presenter in an event organised by an official institution in DRC. Obtaining the visa at the Consulate will take until Monday and I need to arrive this Sunday. an I get visa on arrival with the invitation letter from the official ionstitution, explaining that need to be there on Monday morning to make a presentation on an academic matter?

Hi, you should always get a visa in advance. It is almost impossible to get one on arrival. But if you are visiting Shenzhen, Hainan or Shanghai, you can get one on arrival. As I know, you are exempted from visa to Shanghai for a transit less than 48 hours.
