we will staying at novotel peace beijing but want to go to fragrant hills park?

How far is our hotel from Fragrant Hills Park and do we need to ask for a tour guide to make sure we see the recommended places inside the park. i already arranged for a land travel there thru our agent here in Manila but Fragrant Hills is not part of the itinerary. Please advise as i want to see the red autum leaves just in time for our arrival this Oct. 26. thanks a lot

It is more than 30km from your hotel to the park. Since your hotel is near to Dengshikou subway station, you can go there to take subway line 5 and transfer to subway line 2 at Yonghegong Lama Temple. Then get off at Xizhimen and take subway line 4 to Beigongmen Station.  Get off from Exit A, then transfer to bus 331 or 696 to Xiangshan Station.
