Is it possible to apply for chinese visa in Nigeria without invitation letter from China ?

It is impossible. For tourism, you need invitation letter from a travel agency; and an letter from a company if for business. Sometimes, letter issued by Chinese official departments is required, such as foreign affairs or tourism bureau.0
