The age limit of working in China is 60, what if one is transferring to work in the same company

Hi, it depends, I am not sure if you are going to apply for a Z visa, if yes, you should contact your employer for details. 60 is general regulation required to apply for a work permit only.

Your reply inicates a maybe, to confirm I can or could obtain a work permit that allows me to continue to work for a subsidiary of my current company for at twelve months?

Hi George, as what Mike said above, it depends on what type of job you may take. I have a friend, a manager in a foreign capital company, who got work visa at age 65. It is true you need a work permit if you want to work in China for 12 months.
