About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Is China visa needed for a uk passport holder living in working in Tokyo

i am a uk passport holder living in working in Tokyo, 2 years now, i am on a 3 year Visa, if i read this site correctly I dont need a Visa to visit China but my Japanese Alien Registration Card is sufficient, is that correct ?

No, it is not correct, you need a visa, and you can apply from Chinese embassy in person with your Alien Registration Card. For foreigners who have no ARC, they need to apply through travel agency.
