visa for Husband to China

Hi I am holding a work visa in shanghai and i am going back to my country in a couple days.
I would like my husband to come with me to Shanghai, but we are from different nationality and he is cuming to visit my family.
My question is can i apply L visa for him in my country ( that would be third country for him) and I was thinking if i can apply double entry , or multiple. Thank you
