Passport Valid just less than 6 months (5 months 2 weeks) South African

I am a South African, I understand that I don't require a VISA for a period of less than 30 days. I have just read that my passport must be valid for a period of more than 6 months after the period of intended visit.
My passport will expire in 6 months and 1 week, but I am due to fly over to Hong Kong for an interview in 2 weeks, I will be there for about a week. Any advice please

Hi, your passport is ok. 6 months validity is not required if you are exempted from visa to HK for less than 30 days. Actually, It will be ok if passport have one more month left when you leave HK.
