how many times will we be permitted to enter china?

We will be visiting my Dad in Hong Kong who travels to China regularly to golf. We hope to accompany him as well, but I was told by the travel agent that we will only be allowed to travel 2 times to China. Is this correct? Where can I find the information?

It depends what type of visa you can get this time. your travel agency is right. If this is the first time you apply for China visa, you can get a double entry at most. That means you can enter mainland China twice within its validity.
