Hi! I've been working in Shanghai for a month and am planning to invite my FRIEND once I've gotten my residence permit. My friend has enough money in her account, but the problem is she's only my friend. I heard that you can only invite immediate family members. How true is this?

Hi Ann, you can invite your friend to China. Beside the recent 6 months bank statement and original bank receipt, BIR-Stamped income tax return form is also required if visiting China for the first time. Better provide a copy of return ticket and hotel reservation as well. Anyway, visa officers will make the final decision on visa issuance and visa duration of stay in China.
