About:Chinese Embassy in Germany

Can an American apply for a Chinese visa in Germany?

I am an American citizen who has been visiting Germany for the last 2 months. I will be here for at least another month. Can I apply for a Chinese visa while I am in Germany? Before I left the States, I read on the Chinese Embassy website that you must not apply more than 3 months in advance for the visa, which is why I did not do it while home.

I am not sure are you required visa or residence permit to live in Germany, if not, you can apply for a China visa there. Or you can apply for China visa in HK if possible.
