transit at Shanghai PVG Airport

Hello,

We will be transiting at the Sang'hai airport from 07H00 until 23H00 - australian and spanish nationalities

Will we be able to leave the airport and book into a hotel ? or visit Shang'Hai ? Do we need a visa. Can we get a transit visa at the airport. If yes, How much does it cost ?

Regards,
