how can i get visit visa?

hello there,
I am from Bangladesh. I want to go Hongkong for fair visiting. So one of my relatives told me at first i have to take China visa then i will get Hongkong visa. Is it true?
for that what i have to do? Please help me.

If you will just go to Hk, you only need to apply for a Hk visa.

Right, u do not need China Visa. If you have any plan to travel in mainland China, then u need to get China Visa.
