About:China Transit Visa

I'm a British passport holder in transit for 17 hours in China.

I'm a British passport holder and will be in transit for 17 hours between Thailand and UK. How can I apply for a 24 stay permit. Will this allow me to leave the airport? How much will this cost?

You can just apply for the 24-hour stay permit on your arrival at the frontier inspection station of the airport with your valid passport, air ticket to the following destination and the fee. With the permit, you will be allowed to exit the airport. I'm not sure about the exact fee, but it won't cost much. Plese don't worry.
