is kanas lake close in october every year?

Question

Hi we are group of foreigner visitors and are going to visit Kanas this October this year but we heard that the Lake is usually close in October every year due to the weather, after 7th october Chinese National public holiday, is that true? as we all arrage our flights, if its close, any other way to get in the park? also where we can get the permit for the lake?is foreigner tourist allowed to go to Baihaba village? any permit needed? where we can get one?

I am sorry that may probably be true, but it will close until the late October, because of the weather.If you really want to go, you can ask the local tourism agency for help. You do not like need any permit to get into the lake to visit the Baihaba Village and you can also go to the Hemu Village which is very close to the Lake.

hi thanks for your reply. I did contact some agency. Some said it will be closed after 7th October but some said it open just only hotels and restaurant maybe shut
