About:China Customs Declaration

Can I bring my professional video camera for shooting or only cheap videocameras are allowed?

It would be my hand-baggage (it's delicate) and, since it is very expensive (about 4,000 EUR value) I don't even think to leave it in China! :-)

You can bring either of the professional video camera or cheap video cameras into China, but you may need to declare to the custom and pay the tax for them. The video camera is one of the articles that must to pay the tax according to Chinese regulations.

I don't understand: I will NOT leave the videocamera in China, I thought that the tax must be paid only if you leave something in the Country.

Am I wrong?
