Chinese Visa for my daughter

When my wife returns to China to apply for her UK settlement Visa, my daughter (UK passport holder) will go with her. I don't think a 30 days Visa would be sufficient for my daughter. Is the only option to extend it in Beijing, as described previously ?

For your daughter, if she gets a 30 days visa in UK, the visa can be extended in Beijing with longer duration as a family visit visa, the visa duration can be one year at most. For more information, you can refer to https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/family-visit-permit.htm
