About:Chinese Consulates in Thailand

Thai visa qualification

As I shall only be in Thailand for 7 days I only need a stamp in my passport showing that I can stay for 28 days .I do not need a visa . Is this enough to get a visa to China ?

Yes, you can apply for a China visa in Thailand in this case. BTW, if you are still in UK, you can also apply for a China visa in advance because a single entry China visa is valid for 3 months after issue date.
