About:Chinese Embassy in Switzerland

Is it possible to travel to hong kong on a uk emergency passport without a visa?

I am Traveling from Shanghai to Hong Kong this summer. I have a visa for China but since Hong Kong immigration laws do not require a British citizen to have a visa to visit Hong Kong, I have not applied for one. The reason I am asking this question is that the UK embassy imformed me that for some countries a visa is required for emergency passports despite the fact that a normal passport does not require one.

Hi, I have entered hong kong with my temporary passport last year, there was no problem if your temporary passport is valid for more than 6 months. You can also provide a proof of your return ticket as hong kong for you is 6 months visa free.
