How to apply and is it possible?
Im currently in Russia awaiting for my zagrapassport (Passport required to travel out of russia). I got permission to enter the country even though I had lost my russian passport whilst living in Australia, So i came to russia using my Australian passport with a letter from the embassy allowing me to enter. In about a week i'm receiving the passport that i need to get out of the country as it takes 40 days for the documents to form. I was not aware how long this period would be until I got here and I came here on short notice due to the need to sign some legal documents in regards to my family.
On my way back I wanted to stay in Beijing for 3 days as I will be flying through china on the way back home.
Unfortunately in russia i cannot apply for a visa until i get this passport that allows me to travel overseas which I receive 2 days before I fly back. I had prebooked the tickets for the way back earlier on as I was not aware how long the processing time would have been and didnt expect it to take so long.
I have an Australian passport but i dont know whether i can apply for a visa with that here..?
Some body told me I can apply for a visa on the spot if i have documents saying i was unable to do so earlier and my stay/ hotel/ tours are already booked. But all the chinese consulate websites say otherwise.
I've been trying to reach the consulate for the last 3 to 4 days but had no luck for some reason.
Has anyone heard of anything like this or can help..?
