About:China Visa Exemption

Visa exemption of up to 15 days

I understand that ordinary passport holders of Singapore are allowed to enter China without visas for up to 15 days for tourism. If I arrive at China on 1 Aug 2012, am I correct to say that the latest date that I need to depart from China is 16 Aug 2012?

It depnds on the exact time you go through the immigration of China on 1 Aug. The 15-day duration is usually calculated from the time when you enter China. You'd better enquire the officers there about the legal time you should exit China to avoid any unexpected trouble when you leave China.
