Layover in Shanghai

Hi - I am flying from New Zealand to the UK via Shanghai, my layover is about 4hrs and 10 minutes and my return journey is similar. Do I need a transit visa for this (I hold a UK passport)?
Thanks

No, you do not need a transit visa, but you have to stay in the airport.
