We are flying Brisbane to London with a 1 night stopover in Guangzhou

We arrive Guangzhou at 16:30 and depart the following morning at 09:00 and will be staying in a hotel for the night. Do we require visas. I travel on a Swedish passport but am a permanent resident of Australia and my partner travels on an Australian passport
