Visa needed for Plane change in Guangshou?

I am going soon to Germany with my German Passport as a permanent australian resident. I'll have a Plane change in Guangzhou flying with China Southern and have a stop for 4 hours. Do I need a visa to stay in the airport? Regards Angi
