My husband and myself need a visa for travel to Lhasa

My husband and myself have booked a private China holiday, part of this is a private tour of Lhasa, we have been told that groups of two are not alowed in to Lhasa Tibet now, is this true. If so how do we still get a visa into Lhasa. I would hate to cancel a private tour of China. We have flights and accomadation, private guide booked in Lhasa.

1. To tell you the truth, private group is not allowed to enter Tibet. It would be difficult for you to get a Tibet Travel Permit, without which entering Tibet is impossible;
2. I am afraid that you need to join a group organized by an authorized travel agency, and the travel agency will apply the tibet travel permit for you. Although cancel a private tour is annoying, but it is really much convenient to join a travel agency.
