About:Marriage Registration in China

Can DUI conviction on my criminal record stop me from marrying a Chinese woman and living in China ?

I plan to move to China in the future to teach English with my Chinese (Chinese native) girl friend and get married there. I plan to live the rest of my life in China with her. But I have one problem, a drunk driving conviction on my record. Will this one blemish ruin my chances of spending my life together with the one that I love in China?

1.This would not be a problem for your marrying your girl friend;
2. However, since you want to teach in China, a Z visa is needed. When you apply, the consular officials may take your record into consideration, whether you can get the visa all depends on them. So I suggest you enquirying personally at the embassy or consulate to confirm.
