About:Top 8 Reasons Why Your China Visa Gets Rejected

I am in Beijing for less than 24 hours and leaving the airport, do I need a visa?

I have found this infrmation:
Foreigners who are travelling on connected international flights with confirmed seats and transit through two or more cities in China by civil flights in no more than 24 hours shall not need to apply for a transit visa. However, permission from the frontier inspection office must be obtained.

But I am finding it difficult to understand what I need from the Frontier inspection office. I arrive at 14:00 on one day, and leave at 13:30 the following day.

I am a New Zealander, based in the UK.

Would you suggest that I need a visa?
If I don't, what do I need to gain permission.

Many thanks

1.Yes, you need a transit visa.
2.The information you have found applies to people who stay in the airport transit area and depart within 24 hours.
3.Since you want to leave the airport, you do need a visa.
