Can I apply for a travel VISA with less than 6 months on my Alien registration card?

I am currently working in South Korea. I had planned on travelling to China when my contract finishes, however I will have less then 6 months on my alien registration card at that time. From what I have heard you can not apply for a travel VISA in china with less than 6 months. Is this true? Is there any other way I can apply for a travel VISA to china?
Thanks

Yes, you can't get a China visa in SOuth Korea if your alien registration card is with less than 6 months validity. I think you may turn to China Travel Service Hk limited for help, whose hotline is 852 2998 7888.
