From Kunming to Dali

I’m from Indonesia.
I wish to travel from Kunming to Dali by train; may I know the maximum speed of the train? Which mode of transport is more comfortable, by road or by train from Kunming to Dali?

Hi, the train travel from Kunming to Dali takes about 7-8 hours, but the train is only available in the morning and in the evening. Taking bus will only take you around 4-5 hours and it is available every 10 minutes. So, the bus journey is more convenient.
