American travelling to China via Singapore

I am American and will be in Singapore for a month this summer. I would like to travel to Beijing for a few days while there. How can I apply for my visa? Travel plans are not yet confirmed.

China Embassy in Singapore only issue visas to non-Singapore citizens with SPR,WP,EP,STP,DP. I advise you apply for the visa in your home country before the trip. A China visa is usually issued with 3 months validity. If only you enter China before 24:00 on the expiration date, it will be ok.
