About:Chinese Embassy in Egypt

PhD at the university of Hong Kong

Dear Sir/Ma'am

I am planning to move to HK to start on my PhD, could you please summarize all required papers I need to bring with me ?

I think you have to apply for a admission from a Hk university in advance. And then the Hk university may help to apply for the Hk visa for you.
