About:China Visa Exemption

Do we need a Transit Visa?

We are joining a cruise ship in Shanghai and wish to see the city for 2 days before joining the ship do we need a full visa. I am an Australian citizen but living in Thailand

I think you do have to apply for a China tourist visa.
