About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Do we have to book all of our hotels during our stay in China for visa purposes?

We were going to wait until we get to China to book some hotels because we are not sure of all the cities we want to visit and will decide when we get there. However, it appears that you have to submit a complete itinerary to get a visa?

I find that the China Embassy in Ottawa just requires the following documents for an China L tourist visa:
1. An original copy of passport with enough blank visa pages, valid for at least another 6 months
2. A fully completed copy of Visa Application Form signed by the actual applicant
3. One recent 2×2(in.)-sized color passport photo, white in background, with a full front view of the applicant's head and shoulders but without any head cover.

I think you mean the blanks in the visa application form. If only you fix your entry date, exit date and one to two cities that you will visit during the duration in China, I think it will be ok.
