Chinese Tourist or Business Visa?

I am planning a tourist and business trip to China. The business portion of the trip is to meet with a company I may want to do business with, but am not currently doing any business with.
Should I apply for business or Tourist visa?

You need to apply for tourist visa because you can't provide an invitation letter from a company for business visa application.

Now the new regulations on L visa (Visa for Tourism, Visiting Friends or Family Members in Mainland China) has been carried out, if you are going to China for sightseeing, please provide A letter of invitation issued by a Chinese company(Travel Agency), which indicates the purpose of this trip, the company’s contact information i.e. office address, telephone number, etc. The company’s registration stamp or the signature from the person in charge is required as well. If you can't provide the invitation letter, please provide the round-trip flight tickets and hotel booking.
