Can this business trip be done 240 hours VISA free?

Can this business trip be done VISA free?

Flight from UK to Shanghai Pudong International Airport (stay for 2 days)

Flight from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to Shenzhen (stay for 2.5 days)

High speed train from Shenzhen to Hong Kong (stay for 2 days)

High speed train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou - travelling back to Hong Kong the same day before flying back to the UK that evening

So a total of 6 days

Mel, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit, but you really do not have to bother yourself about 240 hour visa free transit rules because UK citizens can travel to China absolutely visa free for a stay of up to 30 days. On other words 240 hour visa free transit scheme is irrelevant in your case. Have a nice visit to China.
