Airport transit via Hong Kong on passport validity < 3 months

hi
Im an indian citizen and indian passport holder with valid US visitor visa . My passport expires on 6th jan 2013. Im planning to travel from New Delhi to San francisco via HOng kong on 11th June and return on 30th october back to my home country. When im travelling back on 30th October, Im going to have around 3 months validity on passport left (indian passport). Can i transit (airport transit only to change flights) via Hong Kong or can this cause any issue during airport transit. ?

What are the rules ?

You can transit Hong Kong airport without any problem, a passport with at least 1 month validity beyond the stay duration in Hong Kong is required, when you exit Hong Kong airport on 30th October, your passport still has at least 2 months validity.
