Visiting Hongkong from Guangzhou

I have applied for a single entry tourist visa to visit Guangzhou for a period of ten days in April 2012. I would like to visit Hongkong while I am staying in Guangzhou. Will that single entry visa allow me to visit Hongkong and then return to Guangzhou or do I need to apply for a double entry visa?

New Zealand passport holders are exempt from visa to Hk for as long as 90 days. As for your trip to Guangzhou, you will have to apply for a double-entry China visa, since you will enter Guangzhou twice.
