About:Chinese Embassy in Bahrain

transferring the visa from old passport to new passport

My employer's son is studying in China for almost 1 year now, he went back to Bahrain for vacation, he renewed his passport and unfortunately his student visa in china was cancelled.
what is the process in transferring his visa from old passport to new, he is traveling back to China, Beijing on 8th Feb.

He is studying in China, so he must have had a China Residence permit, so he can still enter and stay in China with his old passport and the Residence permit attached on his old passport.
