What train and number do i take from Beijing to Ulan Bator, and are there more than one train per day between these destinations. Can I book online or is it better to get train tickets when we are in Beijing?

There is only one train leaving on Wednesday - K3. International train tickets might be sold 60 days in advance. You'd better book with travelchinaguide at least 60 days before, in case there are no tickets when you arrive.

Besides train K3, K23 departs from Beijing Railway Station on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday weekly to Ulan Bator, departing at 08:05 and arriving at 13:20 on the next day. And it is better for you to book the tickets well in advance.
