About:Chinese Embassy in Spain

American student studying in Barcelona wants tourist visa to China.

I am an American college student studying in Barcelona for spring semester, after which I want to visit friends in China for 1 month. How and where do I apply for a China tourist visa? How much will it cost? What documents do I need to submit? Do I need to make an appointment at the consulate? If I apply in person, will they mail my visa and passport back to me or do I need to engage a visa service to do this for me?

You can apply for a China tourist visa at China Consulate in Barcelona, you may submit your visa application to the consulate in person or entrust someone else or a travel agency to submit on your behalf. It costs 120 euros for US citizens. If you use a travel agency to submit your application, you also need to pay for its service fee. You don't need to make an appointment at the consulate. The mail back service is not available, please pick up your visa in person or entrust someone else or a travel agency to pick it up. You study in Barcelona, it is convenient for you to submit visa application and pick up your visa in person.
