About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Return ticket is more than 15 days, but I want to visit HongKong during my stay in China

I am a singapore passport holder, and I purchased ticket for a 20 days stay in china. I plan to go to Hongkong and then come back to china during my stay. This means I will arrive in China twice and each will be less than 15 days. My Hongkong entry will reset my 15 days visa-free stay in china. I do not want to apply for china visa, will the airport check-in counter let me board the flight as I do not have a China visa and they only see my return ticket is more than 15 days? If I explain to them, is that okay?

I understand your meaning, less than 15 days stay permit per entry. It is a good option for you to go to Hong Kong then return to Mainland China for another 15 days visa free period. However, the airport check-in counter maybe will refuses you to board the flight as you don't have a China visa and they only see your return ticket with more than 15 days stay duration. It is risk for you to go to China without a China visa. If you explain to them, maybe they still refuse you to board the plane. It is advisable for you to apply for a single entry China visa in advance. You don't need a visa for the second entry from Hong Kong to Mainland China.
