I hold an Israeli passport and flight to Hong Kong is via China, do I need a visa

Israel passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days. You don't need a visa to Hong Kong. If you transit the airport within Mainland China directly without leaving the airport, a China transit visa is not required.
