Miss Arias, you need to contact the Shaolin Martial Arts School (in the Shaolin Temple) to help you to organize the required documents, you can't prepare all documents for student visa.

You can first apply for a tourist visa (L) to China to visit Shaolin Martial Arts School and make sure everything. Even though the school can't obtain the requirements for student visa application, it can find an option to solve it, for example, the school asks you to obtain a L or F visa in USA, after you entering China, it helps you to get a residence permit which should renewed annually.

Thank you very much, Ms. Elliot! Six more questions:

1. After being there with the tourist Visa, do I have to come back and go or I just go once and stay over there while my tourist Visa becomes a yearly resident permit?
2. Can I stay studying for a period of five years, meaning renewing my Visa four times? Is there any limits?
3. During those five years, can I come visit my family and go back to training?
4. At the end of the five years, if I find a job in China, and/or want to continue studying and working, how would that be with the Visa? Work Visa? Study/Work Visa?
5. I'm about to start a business through the internet. I've got a student loan to be paid here in the U. S. If I haven't finished paying for my loan, can I still enroll for the school in China?
6. Do I have the option of paying the loan with whatever comes into my account from my internet business or can I postpone the payments?

Thanks for your response!
Regards,
Miss Arias

1. After being there with the tourist Visa, I'm afraid that you have to come back and go. Generally speaking, a tourist visa only permits 30 days stay duration per entry, there is not enough time for the school to prepare all documents for the residence permit application. If the school tells you to extend your tourist visa for another 30 days and it helps you to change it into residence permit, you don't need to come back, however, the chance is slim.

2. yes, you can study for a period of five years, renewing your Visa four times

3. During those five years, you can come visit your family and go back to training. Once you obtain the residence permit, it can be used as a multiple entry visa to exit and enter China.

4. At the end of the five years, if you find a job in China, and want to continue studying and working, you should apply for a Work Visa.

5. I don't know the answer for your question 5 and question 6.
