About:Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan

HongKong Airport transit visa

I am Kazakhstan citizen currently studying in mainland China. I want to travel to Thailand, but the airline ticket i wish to purchase requires me to pass through Hong Kong. The transit time does not exceed 24 hours. The ticket shows: shanghai-hong kong- phuket. do i require a visa for transit?

Yes, you need to apply for a transit visa beforehand except you are in direct transit by air and when you do not leave the airport transit area.
