Which type of visa are you going to apply for? Here below are requirements for China tourist visa: visa application form, one recent passport photo, passport valid for at least 6 months and with at least two blank pages, 3-month bank statement, round-trip air ticket or tour itinerary.
it usually takes 4 working days to process a visa. A single-entry China visa takes ZAR 250 and a double-entry visa needs ZAR 380.
I haven't heard about any appointment info. You may go to the embassy or consulate directly to apply for the visa.
