About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

Hi I am an Indian married to a chinese and we both are residents of Dubai,UAE.

We plan to relocate to China in a few months time and are confused regarding how I can get a permenant residencey visa or a visa which enables me to stay for longer periods without frequent renewals. Please advise on the documents required and if we can apply at the Chinese consulate in Dubai.

It is impossible for you to get a permanent residence visa. The rule for application of Chinese permanent residence visa is very very strict. You can try to apply for a L visa for family visit, after entering China, then go to exit-entry administrative bureau of public security bureau to apply for 1 year residence permit for family visit. At first, I'm afraid that your application will be denied because your Chinese wife previousely lives in Dubai, UAE rather than China. Maybe the exit-entry administrative bureau only issues you a L visa with another 30 days stay duration. In this situation, you still need to do frequent renewals.
