dubai uae visa plus china visa

Question

We are two Canadian citizens from Montreal Quebec leaving on Emerite Airlines from Florida via Dubai with a 10 hour layover then onto Beijing for 3 days of touring and then boarding a cruise ship with a second stop in Shanghai then all the way south to Bangkok. What do I need in visas for Dubai and Bejing.We have visited Dubai previously and no visa was required but now we hear that it is necessary.

Sorry, I am not sure if you are required the Dubai visa. As what you said above, you will fly to Beijing and then stop in Shanghai port by cruise. You need to apply for a double entry China tourist visa.
