Transfer at Beijing airport with a passport with less than 6 months validity?

I am a Canadian citizen and I hold a Canadian passport. I might be flying from South Korea to Vancouver, Canada via Beijing on Air China. My layover will only be for a couple of hours. I know I do not need a transit visa but will I be allowed to transfer if my passport has less than 6 months validity on it?
