About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Self transfer at Guangzhou airport requires visa for Pakistani passport

Hi
I am travelling from Cairo to Phnom Penh on 6th of May and I have a long layover of around 14 hours at Guangzhou airport. I have to go through a self transfer option. Do I need a visa or it can be covered through 24 visa free entry. Keep in mind that I have two different tickets .. Cairo to Manama and Manama to Guangzhou is separate ticket and Guangzhou to Phnom Penh is separate ticket.

Sikander, this is not a problem at all and you do not need a visa because your transit in Guangzhou will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit. Upon your landing in Guangzhou the first thing that you will do will be to approach 24/240 visa free transit counter where you will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting your flight tickets. After a short check, you will be granted a permit and you will head to the immigration and then to collect your luggage since you are traveling on separate tickets. After that follows your new check-in and a walk to the gate for your flight to Cambodia. Also, it is important to mention that at the time of your check-in in Bahrain for your flight to Guangzhou, you will declare that you are traveling to Cambodia via China (Guangzhou) using 24 hour visa free transit. You are advised to have your flight tickets printed out and at hand because you will have to present them in both Bahrain and upon your landing in Guangzhou. This is all allowed to Pakistani passport holder without any doubt. Have a nice journey.
